I have had extremely poor service with a Wells Fargo line of credit (credit card). There has been multiple occasions where I will pay my outstanding balance and, rather than giving me the credit back on my card for the amount I paid, they put a six day+ hold on it and my available credit stays the same. Mind you, they have already taken the money from my bank account for the payment. When I call Wells Fargo, they have no explanation other than my payment has been put on hold.
I was a joint account holder on a brokerage account managed by this firm. Leigh Anne Hughes was the advisor. Over time, my husband was able to drain the entire account without the advisor making any effort to loop me in, notify me of significant changes, or call a meeting to address the clear deviation from our established retirement plan. As a co-owner of the account, I expected basic communication, oversight, and fiduciary awareness—especially as our retirement trajectory was being derailed. None of that occurred. Opened an account with a sizeable check, I have had it for 5 days and have had nothing but problems, and their customer service is some of the worst I have ever dealt with. I will be closing my account tomorrow
