Came in person to pay off my auto loan, was told I couldn’t do so with ACH and had to get a bank certified check from my personal bank. In the parking lot of Chase I called Wells Fargo and had a very helpful rep who let me pay off my loan via ACH in less than five minutes. This is exactly why I bank with Chase. Imagine trying to pay off an auto loan and being told no.
Wells Fargo charged me monthly service fees on my checking account without any clear notification or warning. There was no obvious email, text, or alert — I only discovered the charges after reviewing my statement. It feels deceptive and unfair to add fees without making sure customers are properly informed. When I contacted customer service, I was only able to get a portion of the fees refunded, even though multiple charges were applied.
