Wells Fargo managed to turn a simple account opening into a master class in disorganization and disrespect for customers’ time. I first applied online to open a checking account in October 2025 and was told my identity couldn’t be verified, so I had to go into a branch in person. It's 3:50pm and branch closes at 5pm. I had no idea that you now need to make an appointment first to open a savings account. I'm hoping they can squeeze me in. I remember coming to this branch when you dealt with the same bankers and they knew your name. Customer since 1980's
