My father and I went in to transfer a safety deposit box under my name. We had to set an appointment with a banker and the teller stated that it would be some paperwork but it would be possible. We then went to the appointment and were told we couldn’t simply transfer ownership and there would be a two month waiting period in order to gain ownership of the security deposit box.
