Unfortunately, this is why I will NEVER bank with Wells Fargo. My father just passed and they told me although I had to wait for court documents to access the account, that any bills will still be paid that had autopay. Mind you, this was told after they called MULTIPLE people and managers within Wells Fargo. Now I’m getting stuck with $25+ late fees on bills because they lied to my face and I can’t do anything about it. This is why I bank with Capital One because at least their employees are competent at their job.
Its sad to see all the negative comments on this bank. Moved to Powhatan in 2024 and have a business account with them from my prior location. The dealings that I have had with them have all been really positive. I am up there a good bit and they have always been helpful and easy to work with. For being a branch of a much larger organization it has a nice small town feel. With proximity to me its a good solution. Would be nice if they more hours and not a big fan of setting appointments, but they have been fine to deal with.
