I had a cashiers check issued from my capital one bank account made out to my father’s name. He was using this money to pay for a new apartment. He deposited the check on April 30. Being that cashiers checks are certified checks, as good as cash, the money should have immediately gone into his account. On May 4th he went to make payment for his new place. The funds were not in his account still!! Upon calling we find out they are holding funds until May 12!!! They never told him they would hold the funds for such an inexcusa... read more
