Don't go here unless you want to spend an entire day waiting. Been twice in the last two days and waited ridiculously long both times.
Cashed an ee bond a week ago. I am not an account holder so I provided two forms of id as requested. The transaction was quick and easy with a very nice and professional black woman. I returned TODAY and the teller Carlos began to cash my bond then told me “they don’t do that here” as the manager instructed him. I showed him my receipt from a week ago (insisting they clearly DO do this) and he returned my bond to me and refused, telling me I need to go to my own bank (I have broad view which is not down here). I went to open a savings account and they see to care less about you putting money in there bank. I wasn't trying to buy a house just open a savings account. There was a Hispanic family behind me also and told them to come back or make a appointment. When you work 12 hour days it's hard to find time to accommodate the bank. DONT YOU UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER SERVICE. SO I GUESS I WILL GET A POINT AND LOSE MONEY TO OPEN A ACCOUNT. THANKS FOR HAVING BANKERS ON 🖐
I arrived at 4:59 PM and yes, it was last minute. They had already locked the doors and refused service, normally I wouldn’t care but I just sold my house and it was a rather large check. The lady told me that there’s no way they would have locked up early and that policy was to refuse service. She told me that the ATM was the best bet. The ATM spat out the check on the first attempt and the feeder wheels bent and left wheel marks on it. The ATM probably did this because of the large amount.
