Let me start by saying that the case was done in a matter of months. My issue is and was that I was only told that I would be taxed on the portion that the employer paid out. 2 years later I get a letter from the IRS stating I have to pay taxes on the portion that the lawyer received which was over 8k, mind you he never stated that I would have to pay taxes on the portion that he received. Our insurance company sent an adjuster to our home after we noticed an odd looking leak in the ceiling in our kitchen. The adjuster could not offer any reason for this leak or where it might be coming from, but what he could offer was a very small settlement to replace eight roof tiles and funds to pay to have our kitchen ceiling repainted.
