Homebuyers Beware: Webster Bank Dropped the Ball Webster Bank put my clients in serious jeopardy. They placed a $20,000 deposit and waived their mortgage contingency to win a home in Simsbury. In January I tried to get two step authentication for my checking account. It wasn't working on a Friday and it took until the following Wednesday for my local office to get it set corrected. Now I can't get into my account because when I ask for the text to enable me confirm my identity it never comes. I have been trying all weekend and there is no recourse.
