We hired WDL to build a garage apartment on our property in the city of Houston, and the process was a debacle from the start. We understand that the permitting process can be cumbersome and difficult but it took over 2 months for WDL to finally obtain the permit for our build, and the various reasons for failing departmental review were what I would consider unacceptable (failing to include smoke detectors in plans, no soils report, insufficient engineering details, etc.) The "demo crew" that showed up to our house was two ... read more
We had WDL Lumber do some remodeling work in our living room it has not been six months since complete. So for a back door that was installed leaks when it rains, they painted a set of cabinets that had oil base paint on them without sanding or putting primer on them and then painted with latex paint. Needless to say the all the paint has peeled up. And all the Sheetrock they installed you can see where they floated it in so we have lines all over our ceiling.
