Well my lesson was learnt today. I have always enjoyed the chickens from here. Today being lazy & not wanting to stop again on my way home, I bought a BBQ chook in Port Macquarie. Well $8 dearer & not seasoned/stuffed nicely. I will not be going back there again. I'll wait till I'm back in Wauchope.
This was the second time we have been here. First time chicken and chips was not very good, but thought we would try again as we wanted a half piece of chicken. Now I know it’s charcoal chicken but this was burnt chicken. Outside skin was inedible, and inside was hard and dry, the wing I tried to eat but could not get the skin off at all and I could not even break apart each piece of the wing. If you place an online order or phone order you need to present yourself to the counter when you arrive to let staff know you are there. People complaining they waited a long time after phoning or apps are waiting because staff don’t know you are there to collect. Very Busy on weekends And during lunch and dinner rush. Working on staff recruitment and training.family business Happily feeding our town for 21 years.
Rude, ignorant staff. Ignore the customers and leave you waiting constantly. The only thing good about this place is the chicken salt.
