We have used Watt accounting as our tax preparer for years and have been pretty happy with the service. In 2023 my husband won a little money in a casino so we had to file a tax return in another state. We were told when we signed and paid for our taxes that everything was E filed however 2 months later we learned that the one for Iowa never was sent. I gave Mr. Watt my tax papers months ago. I have called numerous times and left messages with no answer and no return call. It got to the point where when I woulD call his mailbox was full so I couldn't continue to leave messages to have him call me back. I still haven't heard anything about my 2021 taxes still to this day.
I have several businesses that are trying to get their documents from Dale Watt and his son Than Watt and they are refusing to release their documents. He collected thousands of dollars for 2021 bookkeeping & payroll and has not completed any bookkeeping or reported to the appropriate agencies. Can anyone that has had similar experience with them or someone else please help?
This guy is unprofessional, non-responsive, uses fowl language and refuses to give back clients information if the change accountants due to him not doing the work. He keeps the money for work he has not completed. In my opinion this is stealing. This guy is bad news.
Used him for about two years. We got an audit from the IRS. He did not include all the stuff we gave him and it ended up costing us $4000. The other part of the issue is getting him to handle anything that has to do with an audit. As once you get hit with an audit he does not answer his phone anymore. I would suggest you stay away.
