The assessor is not competent. This office submitted a $5000 1099 to the IRS in error and the assessor insisted it wasn’t an error. we are neither a contractor of the town of Watertown nor and employee of the town of Watertown so the 1099 should never have been cut. When I pressed the assessor to read IRS policy he would not provide the code he referenced..
