My wife, Mary, has been a client at Water's Edge for about 5 months. Initially, while the food was disgusting, cold and boring the care was always adequate. During Mary's stay, we have seen an amazing transformation. The food has, to quote my wife, "become restaurant quality". Hot, tasty, and appealing. The care has become more and more compassionate and comforting. The overall attitude of the staff, from housekeeping to upper management, has gone from courteous to outstanding! Everyone seems to truly care about not only the... read more
Business response:
Thank you Al for the wonderful comment. It is much appreciated.
If I could give this nursing home a zero I would! Uncaring staff, Not attentive to patients needs. My mother is in horrible pain. She asked for Tylenol 2 hours later still no response. Her roommate was vomiting and asking for help also no response. Not showered in over a week. I will be filing a complaint. Also calling the state of Connecticut. How sad we trust our loved ones will be taking care of. Also walked in the Tv room to find a employee sleeping on the couch! I am appalled and angry. Horrible place!
Business response:
Thank you for bringing up your concerns to Water’s Edge. I know you spoke with Mike our Administrator a few days ago. If you have any additional feedback, feel free to reach out to Mike.
Get competent employees who actually like what they do and want to work!
well for one, I'm supposed to be on a heart healthy diet and everything or most of what I've had to eat has been too much salt in it and that's one thing I'm not supposed to have don't have a clue where their dietician is really don't think they have one anymore they say health and rehabilitation but boy so far I'm not so sure about that and I'm here again as a patient
They need more employees that care about the residents and do there job. This starts at the very top and goes right down to the bottom. The only thing important to everyone is the mighty buck! Guess what, without residents you won't have the mighty buck! You might as well talk to the wall, you get the same results! I won't give up, my father's safety and being happy(and he is not happy when he gets an aide that doesn't care) is important to me even if it's not to you!!
Business response:
Susan, Thanks for reaching out and speaking with our administrator, Mike Rayel, in person regarding your concerns for your father. Your father’s care, comfort and happiness are our priority and we will continue to working with you and your father to your satisfaction. As always, Mike’s door is open for you and your family, as well as our other team members, to make your dad’s stay with us, the best it can be.
