My Mom spent about 5 years at the Waterford in both independent & palliative care environments. Waterford is a great place for seniors able to enjoy the beautiful environment, activities & entertainment. However, I do not recommend the Waterford for palliative or end of life care needs. There is limited support available on site. The most professional nursing care is actually provided by outside Health agencies which is organized through the Ministry of Health-at-Home. Just wanted to say I appreciate how well you guys look after your property. To the manicured lawn, beautiful gardens and best Christmas lights in Ottawa I hope you never stop. Our city would look a lot different if places followed your example. We appreciate you.
I want to help with work
I have nothing but good things to say about Waterford. My mom received top notch care from everyone here. She is moving out now because her needs have increased to a new level, but they were accommodating of her shifting needs over about 6 years, even when it was challenging for the staff. The staff went above and beyond, even the laundry and room cleaning staff, to help mom maintain her dignity and a sense of independence even when she gave them a difficult time. I am so grateful to the staff and the directors here.
