2nd time in 2 months Washington Trust has cashed checks from Dave’s Marketplace against my checking account! As you can imagine these are payments to vendors & are sizable amounts!
My mother passed away recently and my brothers and I have spoken to no less than 5 people at the bank who have each given us different information. I spoke to the Westerly branch manager and she sent me an email with the requirements. My brother, who lives out of state, sent an email with a certified letter attached to her on 12/28 with the info she asked for. He had to call her on 1/9 to follow up as he hasn’t heard anything. First it took almost 15 days for a local check I deposited to be available for use, then 3 days later you shut my card off when there is plenty of money in the account and won’t give me any info unless I physically go into the bank...

The rep that called me from Westerly to help me finish opening my account online was wonderful, but from there it has been all downhill. The staff in my local branch is just average, the limitations of their phone app are pathetic and the reasoning of it being new to them is laughable when they consider 2 years to still be new. I hate the fact that pending transactions don't show up ANYWHERE. Not on the phone app, nor on the website. I have never had a bank that doesn't include that information for you.
