Have bought Independent Brand (Washington Fruit & Produce Co.) apples many times in the past and they have been good. I bought a box (40 lbs.) of Granny Smiths a little over a month ago and the taste was way off, I think they weren't ripe. I told them about it on their contact us page on their website and never heard back from them. Horrible customer service. Now if I go to the store to buy apples and see that they are Independent Brand I will turn around and walk back out.
