Mikaela has a beautiful knack for capturing moments that you'll want to look back on with fondness. Her heart and intentionality shine through with every photo, and also in her loving demeanor while she's with you. She has a way of helping everyone feel comfortable, natural, and cared for. Whether she's following along in labor/birth, taking those first newborn photos, or snapping real family moments, she has an eye for making every day events (however big or small) all the more special.

I recently had a first 48 session with Wander Birth Photo. Mikaela, was able to come a mere 24hrs after my c-section of my 2nd child. She was able to accommodate a strange time so that I could get my older child to the hospital to meet their sibling. She went above and beyond to accommodate my needs over her own. Mikaela is absolutely amazing!! She captured amazing fresh 48 photos for my family and my only regret is not also booking her for birth photos. She is so warm and easy to be around and made us feel comfortable during the session. Highly recommend!

Mikaela is an absolute joy to work with! She is so fun and easygoing to be around and made the session a lot of fun. She also understands the attention span of kids and how to keep momentum and movement, which cannot be underestimated ;). The photos came out beautifully and will be treasured for ever!!

We never really thought about getting family photos until we met Mikalea. Mikaela is a photographer, but really she is an artist and storyteller. Her photography is creative and beautiful. For our family, Mikaela is able to capture what it really means to be a family, parent, or for me personally a mom. Her photographs are not just pictures, but the are images full of emotion and life.
