They are a good place with affordable glasses. However the internet is incorrect in as far as the Effingham Illinois store. They are currently not accepting medicaid. I called and checked on 03-18-2026. It's a shame because they have a wonderful selection unlike other places when it comes to medicaid. I'm assuming that's not a decision made by public aid because one would assume they'd prefer a more affordable place.
Very thorough exam. Reasonable price. Actually went in for a second opinion on an eye exam I had gotten done. He was very kind and able to show me the comparable difference between his exam, the script I brought with me and my current glasses which are no where near current. His was much crisper compared to the other I had a gotten. Also asked if I had been dilated and when I said not in a long long time, offered that. I am a truck driver and my glasses are broken and i cant see without glasses and i call them for lens and i told its emergency i cant see road withoit glasses and they said you have to schedule an appointment
Not only have the protective coating on my daughters lifetime warranty glasses peeled and the center refused to replace them without a new prescription (expired during covid when no drs were seeing patients) leaving my 15 yo struggling to do school work which was then all on a screen, now that the eye Dr is finally open and we have a new script, the center is only open from 10 to 2. Went here today for a contact exam. I was in and out in under an hour. I’ve been to many different Walmart’s for eye exams and this Walmart eye center was by far the best!!! Wonderful staff!
