After excruciating weeks of being walked through the most depressing facilities I never knew existed, Bolton Clarke Walkerville hit us like an oasis on a desert pilgrimage. The vibe as soon as you walk in is welcoming, organic, and comforting. The staff care (especially the manager James - top bloke), and go to lengths to cater to each residents unique situations. In an industry of compromise the Walkerville home is a bastion of perseverance and dedication to the dignity and comfort of our elderly loved ones.
Its a damn shame that I can confidently say out of the dozen facilities we considered for dad, this was by far the best - maybe I should say least terrible The food is made offsite and then microwaved. 8/10 times its extremely unappetising and the remaining 2/10 its fish and chips. Soggy fish and chips The staff turnover is so high that awareness of residents’ specific needs is non existent. My mother yesterday was treated so rudely by a male manager that I wouldn't put my worst enemy here! He got up and walked out of the conference.He should be reported to HCCC. Sad that people can be so cruel to people who have paid their taxes.
