We did a lot of tours and excursions on the island and this one was our favorite. Kelsey was an amazing host and very knowledgeable about the area and the plants. Highly recommend to anybody. The lunch at the end was incredible!
We went to the Tuesday morning tour and had a wonderful discussion about the original people that settled on Kauai who developed sustainable food production in harmony with the overall watershed. Stacey led the tour and shared her extensive knowledge of the local culture along with the flora and fauna of the watershed. Had an amazing experience on the farm tour at Waipa, just north of Hanalei on Kauai. Stacy and her team were very warm and welcoming, and interested in all of the guests' questions and input. We loved driving around the area on the ATVs making stops at various important locations to learn about the systems traditionally used for farming and preserving resources. Wonderful tour on the north shore of Kauai. Highly recommend! Learnt a lot about local regenerative farming systems, while touring on a golf cart (easy -not much walking), visiting the waterways, planting sweet potato slips and ending with a delicious home made farm grown lunch. Jasmine and Emma were wonderful hosts!
Delicious cheesecake! I love the mission and Foundation.
