Every Thursday is Poi Day. Kalo, (aka Taro) is cleaned and ground into the Hawaiian staple Poi. Volunteers and visitors are instructed by the staff and senior community members.
A great organization that connects families with the land, farming, and culture.
If you would like a deeper understanding and love for the land and it's people away from the "tourist" activities this is for you. It's a beautiful way to spend the day.
