I was just informed I owe taxes from 2017. I paid them for 2018 & 2019, but no red flag about 2017, when I purchased this house. I called to see if the late fees could be adjusted or a payment plan worked out, but the answer was no. I am 71 years old on a fixed income, and the $3,000 due unexpectedly will be a hardship. Not too pleased with our county treasurer.
