We have loved Washington Federal. We have had our mortgage for 15 years and until this year, they have been great. We have had to deal with them 3 times this year and all 3 times the branch manager has been so upsetting. She takes forever to return calls resulting in problems. Today she gave us information that was incorrect costing us a thousand dollars. I don't know if she doesn't know how to read her systems or what is going on. While every bank or financial institution has their shortcomings, Kayla and Noah have always been there to assist and pick up the pieces! I appreciate the personal touch they bring, I am always greeted by first name and feel more like family. That alone is reason to bank here. Aside from this branch being absolutely amazing, the only feedback I have is for the corporate fraud department to do a better job handling disputes.
Do not bank with WaFd. They do not care about their clients or their money. I traveled to Mexico and had over $800 in fraudulent charges on my card when I got home, and the call I got from the branch manager was ‘I’m sorry but it looks like you’re going to be out the $800’. Is this even an FDIC insured bank?
Allison at Wafed in Murray is awesome to work with. I recently opened a business account there and Allison made sure we did it right and got all the paperwork done properly.
Finally found our favorite bank! They know you by name as you walk in, incredibly helpful, and have all the services you need. Honestly far better and easier to work with than any credit Union. They worked with us to ensure we had all the functionality and services we needed. Only regret is we didn’t start using them sooner.
