Our stay here was just sublime from the minute we arrived to the point we left, 5 nights of the best holiday accommodation, Niki and Piet have created a truly wonderful place to stay and are the most generous of hosts, great communication from the start of our booking and nothing was too much trouble during our stay, they shared tips about places to visit and made lots of useful information about Shetland available to us and let’s not forget the fabulous spa 💙🩵 we cannot recommend this place highly enough and if we ever re... read more
We had an amazing weekend stay at Voortrekker, the accommodation, facilities and spa area are incredible. And the views from the property are outstanding. Niki and Piet are wonderful hosts, they could not have been any more accommodating. We will definitely be booking another stay in the future.
Delightfully quirky and immaculate accommodation in a unique location. A great base to explore the south Mainland from. We stayed in the Soothpunds apt and were captivated by the northeast view from our dining table. Walking down from the property to walk along the coastline was well worth it too.
Amazing, spacious accommodation with everything you could possibly wish for, extremely well thought out and practical, spectacular views from our bedroom and from the wonderful spa area, fantastic location for visiting South Mainland, but easy access to anywhere on Shetland. Niki and Piet have created a beautiful haven in their Mogill apartment. Nothing was too much trouble for them and with the added bonus of the sauna and hot tub, this turned into one of the best holidays we have experienced. We were able to relax and sit and watch the animals (including Tom and Jerry the goats) and birds and look out over the cliffs and sea.
