When my brother needed memory care, he wanted to make his own choice of a place to live. We visited Volante and Ed LOVED everyone he met there right away. He made his decision before the tour was over. He feels the very same way today, after 6 months in residence. The staff is very interactive and attentive to his needs. I strongly recommend Volante's memory care team.
As an entertainer for senior living residences across Portland, I’ve been to many places, some luxurious, some for outside appearances not much to look at. Volante Senior Living immediately gave me a sense that the staff (and there were a lot everywhere) were all fully present, fully engaged and fully committed to not just the safety of their residents (although that’s certainly a plus), but also the well-being of each and every one. My husband was abused at this facility. His medications were withheld, his toe nails turned green and black. He is a diabetic and they didn't follow the directions and gave him his glipzide after his meals which the medicine is to be given prior to eating. This caused his blood sugar to run 280-299 and the facility didn't think anything of that. He would become agitated due to his situation. Not a bad place anywhere u put someone u care about is hard and never as good as you would do but this place tries and has taken care of both my parent and it's clean safe and updated and in these places that's about all u can ask for
At ISL, residents have incredibly opportunities to participate in programs that provide physical movement, socialization, and a sense of family and community. Would always recommend bringing loved ones here!
