Yes! My sister attended VBA for over 40 years. She started there when it first opened in 1971. Amy is Down’s Syndrome. Back in the early 70’s Down’s children were viewed as uneducable. VBA not only taught Amy to read, write and math, they have specialists for speech and motor skills. Amy’s education and experience with VBA was a positive one. She loves to tell people about VBA and her teachers.
Loving caring faculty that creates a learning environment!!Students do not want to miss school!! I feel blessed my three children have been students at Adams for many years!!!
The Atmosphere, and Warm feeling you get from every Employee there...If all Schools had the kind of Hearts that these Employees have at Vivian B Adam's, more Kids would Succeed..God Bless You All...

My brother, James Brown, attended VBA in the 80’s from Troy, AL & loved it. Mr. Downing was his bus driver & 1 teacher I remember he had was Debbie Mobley.
Great people that really care. Our Rhonda has been a consumer here for 34 years and this school is the biggest reason I retired here.
The staff at VBA are all some of the nicest people you will ever meet and in my opinion some of the nicest in the whole school system. The teachers there are extremely dedicated to helping those with physical and mental challenges. My son had been attending there for a few years before our Heavenly Father took him to live amongst the angels, but the amount of progress he showed within that timeframe was amazing!
