My husband was at South Place from September 6th to September 12th at which time I found him unresponsive and he passed away that day. For the time he was there, I was there every day. He was there for rehab. The day before he passed away, I requested they bathe him, as he had not had a bath since he went there. I also asked them to clean his commode(which I made pictures) as they had not cleaned his room since he had been there. I changed his bed, when I could find the dingy sheets. Mother has been at South Place for 9 months. It has been a personal struggle for me but she has received good care. I hate to start naming employees because I may leave someone out. Maria, Terri, Margie, Lori are all great. Dietary staff is there to please. Office staff are very helpful. I am very pleased with her care.

I worked at SHCC for over 14 yrs, at one time i had 3 Aunts there. I would feel comfortable taking my Mom there if i had to, she tells me if i ever need to go to a nursing home, take me where u worked.. The only reason I don't work there anymore is cause I decided to stay home with my 90 yr old Mom and make more memories together. I always used to tell people id never leave SHCC, that one day they'd just put a bed in my office...lol
