The relentless hate you all face online is completely, absolutely justified. I genuinely believed Kristin Collins, the newly appointed VA Tax Commissioner, might finally bring some positive change. Note: this review is for telephone and web-based communications. Both of my telephone encounters with Virginia Department of Revenue were sterling. I was not only treated with respect but actually made to feel as if I was cared about. I was able to get exactly what I hoped for quickly. One of the telephone questions was about filing an appeal of a $29 charge for underpayment of taxes. I paid the full amount but I calculated that I actually owed $8.
