My family member graduated today 09 Dec 2023 from this college and it was total shock when the staff and guest speaker spent all the time talking instead of calling these graduates by name so they can walk across the stage or if they can't walk you better darn well say each and everyone of their names they've earned and payed for the right to do so! I mostly go to the library, they have a Starbucks and The Workshop (Google it). But overall, VCU is an excellent university with an academic campus and a medical campus, a diverse student body and nearly any curriculum to meet your educational needs.
I regret investing in VCU’s pre-health program. At a cost of around $15,000, I expected substantial support, high-quality advising, and clear pathways to enhancing my application for professional schools. Unfortunately, I found the program lacking in nearly every respect. The advising felt generic and unhelpful. Rather than tailored strategies for improving my academic record, gaining clinical experience, or strengthening my interview skills, I often received superficial advice that I could have found online for free.
