Violin Works is the Best! I've known the owner of Violin Works for a number of years now. When I was looking for an instrument he was recommended to me by my violin teacher. My teacher said that Jim (the owner) is who he always goes to and trusts. I found Jim to be extremely honest and trustworthy. Splendid Service and Professional Skill Jim is the person who professional musicians respect. He is passionate about his craft and has a gentle unassuming manner. Never any pressure to purchase. He loves to talk about strings and instruments and life. He is a wizard who looks over Garland Ave neighborhood while bending over his work. I purchased my upgrade cello from him 4 years ago and it happened that two professional cellists also entered the shop and we all had a grand time exploring the instrument. It has been a wonderf... read more
Nice, Refreshing Find This shop was a wonderful find. Very knowledgeable in highly trained staff. Courteous, helpful, honest. I was looking for something in the $2000 range and they had probably the better selection in Spokane. They did say they had some less expensive, as little as $400, but that wasn't what I was looking for. After talking with other teachers and players in Spokane, it seems as though Violin Works is one of the most respected sales and repair shops in the area......HONEST AND COMPETENT!!
