This place as a thrift store was decent at best - overpriced items galore. A lot of fun things to look at. What upset me most in my visit was the dogs outside. The older gentleman who I guess runs the store warned my friend and I about "the dogs outside. They're nice though!" And they were the sweetest babies ever. But I surely hope they are brought home each night and not left in the outdoor space, even though evidence suggests not. One followed us the whole time and the other gnawed at an old dirty pizza box. I didn’t have a terrible experience here like some of the other reviewers. Instead an older lady checked me out and I got a wooden toybox for my daughter, everything in the store is a pretty high price but with that being said it is typically very quality material in the store and I couldn’t see half the stuff being priced any lower.
extremely overpriced and rude
I went in today (Christmas Eve) and found a copy of Tour Of The World In Eighty Days by Jules Verne, published in 1925 by Donohue. The spine was completely detached from the cover. It was in the “not priced yet” section so we asked about the price. The guy with the white beard looks it up on eBay and tells us $20 based on the MINT CONDITION ones he’s seen on eBay and then says he’s “fair and he can work with us and be flexible on prices.” Cool. Terry Penrod saved the day for us - in addition to running these thrift stores, he helped us clean out the remainder of my parents' home.
