My Grandmother stayed here but has since sadly passed away. Now my family can’t get a hold of anyone to explain why she was charged an additional month of rent after she had already passed??! The contract states that her agreement should have ended on the last day of November but yet she was charged in December. No family there yet, but the facility is beautiful, staff was friendly and even ran into someone we knew :)
I have no family there yet but I visited to get a good picture of what they have in terms of helping my father live with Alzheimer’s. The Executive Director gave me a personal tour and answered all my questions. The memory care residents seemed happy, contented, and were friendly to us as we walked around. I guess a fresh face was novel. It’s certainly more affordable than other places I’ve consulted. I hope to be able to get my father a placement there as soon as we my folks are financially able to do so.
I only worked at the Villas for a few months but in the short time i worked there i quickly realized i did not like it and it was one of the worst i’ve jobs i've ever had. The building may look nice on the outside but it is the complete opposite on the inside. The food there is terrible, and residents aren't getting the nutritional food they need. Staff members don't care about residents needs. They are always so rushed. They are on their phones a lot and are very rude to other staff members and residents. Housekeeping does ... read more
The Villas of Hollybrook located in Bethalto presents itself as a relatively new, faith based facility. It is a lovely, physical environment. Unfortunately, that’s as far as it goes. My parents have lived there for approximately 1.5 years. During that time the quality of the meals has regressed; the number of qualified staff has decreased; the housekeeping and maintenance are poor and the internet is extremely poor.
