The upholstery on the back of the passenger seat in my Corvette had torn loose from the track it belongs in and was getting worse. I didn't know if it was a small deal or something that would have required removing the seat to address which would have made it a big deal. I would expect the car dealer would have wanted to put in a new seat requiring weeks of delay waiting for the new seat to arrive, and then a large enough bill that I would have needed to float a loan to pay for it.
