If you care about your family member and want them taken care of properly I wouldn’t recommend Village Park. I don’t know what the staff does but you will have a hard time finding them. When you walk in the door you almost always smell Body order and bodily fluids. Every time we would visit there would be trash that needed to be emptied and the floors and toilet were never clean and smelt like urine. Highly unrecommended. The staff appear to have violated a number of residents' rights, including those of my family members, based on the Arkansas RULES FOR ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES LEVEL II. I've personally witnessed what seemed like violations of sections 603.1(3)(F), 603.1(3)(H), 603.1(3)(L), and others. Staff seemed to use their keys to enter private resident rooms without knocking, which could violate state law (Arkansas Code § 20-10-1204) unless it's an emergency or medically necessary. My aunt was blessed to live at Village Park for almost 2 years. We can't say enough good things about the staff! Village Park was just the right size for Auntie and the staff loved her as if she were their very own. The facility was always very clean and well-cared for. We were wonderfully blessed to have connected with Village Park when Auntie got to the point of needing assistance.
Village Park has been my home for over three years and I love the place. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The administrator has an open door policy and she will really listen to your concerns. There is a very homey atmosphere. We have lots of fun and the place is decorated for every holiday which can be the hardest time for residents but we are one big happy family and we know we are loved by our staff.
