Make it visitor, tourist, and dare I say citizen friendly by providing free parking and with better planning make develop more municipal parking. (When I received a $20 parking ticket on a SUNDAY, and received an arrogant response from the Mayor I knew it was time to go elsewhere.)

How do the landlords of run down houses get away with keeping security deposits without any legal remedy to the tenant and without accountability? It’s disgusting that no one up there is watching landlords bully the students of SUNY New Paltz

Extremely overzealous parking enforcement and burdensome taxes. The "people in charge" continually make up ridiculous rules and regulations. The members of the PD, FD, and DPW are all great hardworking people and should be acknowledged for their contributions to the community though.

Extreme taxes , no revenue allowed in , no job creation. “Leaders” are more concerned with their paychecks then the well being of the people their suppose to represent.

The library is private and takes advantage by doing what they feel like doing. Had a man once threaten to "hit me" and was well known by the police who tried to remove him but was instructed not to by library staff. The Director stated he thought I make "strange complaints". The town and village residents pay for this library. They shoul... read more

I wanted to acknowledge the work of a village DPW employee whose first name is John - we didn't catch his last name. We had a water emergency at our home on Plains Road & called the department to shut off the water line. John was there in no time and not only shut off the water (easier said than done) but showed my wife what problems we were looking at in the basement. Best of all, he was friendly and attentive to our grandson, who in turn was enthralled by him and his truck. Kudos John, and thanks.
