I was lucky enough to take a class on Intermediate Spoon Carving from Eric. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and enthusiastic in his sharing of the craft. We covered all of the finer points and he made sure all the class participants had a chance to get their specific questions asked and answered. If you are lucky enough to have him teach you about any of his many craft skills, it will be given a gift you will use forever.
Just completed Eric's Spoon Carving class, and I must admit it was quite possibly the best carving class I have ever taken. Plenty of hands-on time, an abundance of knowledge shared and his willingness to share some fine tools made this weekend fly by much faster than I wanted. Anyone interested in handiwork, carving or artistry in general will be well-served to go to Eric's shop, and even better served to take one of his classes.
