We recently stumbled across this wonderful shop and we were instantly charmed by the stunning brooms. My eye was caught by the beautifully hand‑carved wooden spoons—each one feels truly unique and full of character. And how can you not fall in love with the adorable cat in the shop as well! Whether you're looking for a functional kitchen tool or just something soulful and handcrafted, this shop is not to be missed.
I have taken two courses over the past few months from Eric of Village Handcraft. Both were excellent and I highly recommend them. The half day Sharpening class was very informative with discussion, demonstration, hands on practice, and coaching. The two-day beginner Spoon Carving class was similar and I also highly recommend. In addition to Eric being a great craftsman he is also a great teacher.
Don't miss visiting this delightful shop for all things woodworking, from small spoons of every size to brooms and small tools, all hand crafted and curated by the uber-talented shopowner extraordinare, Eric. And check out his offering of classes. I took a spoon carving class this past winter and it was so thoughtfully developed and presented. Thanks, Eric!
Such a cute place
