O.k.......! this place is great.... and ima tell you why....! I was clueless about riding bikes. the sales man was so friendly, patient and informative. he informed me on what I needed to know about bikes and riding so I can make a good decision in choosing a bike. I chose a bike I can afford at the time anyway. A great selection, friendly and warm environment with wonderful staff and just a great all-around store to visit. I highly recommend Conte's if you are an old time biker or new to the sport. An absolutely great place to go!
This store has a fantastic crew from the owner and long time cyclist Walter Gardner, to enthusiastic Sandy Protich to their top mechanic Robert Miller and last, but not least store mascot - Sammie. This is the largest store in Newport News and the place to go for a cruiser, hybrid, road bike or off-road mountain bike. Whether you are a recreational rider or wishing you could go pro - Conte's is the place to go.
