I’ve taken time prior to writing this review because of the emotions that this process and position that Kristen and Davis left us in. We found a piece of land in Lebanon. Our first mistake was we contacted them directly as they owned the lot, to see if they could build the size house that we were looking for on the lot. We were reassured that they could and asked us to buy the lot from them prior to them building, this was mistake number two. Worrisome number of electrical issues/code violations (discovering new ones regularly). Sloppy workmanship and too many mistakes. Unpleasant experience. Also, heat doesn't work well when temperatures are below zero - only heats to 55 degrees F. And they installed one of the p traps outside the house so it freezes regularly. I can't say enough wonderful things about my new home and the Vermod folks who built it. Overall, I've found their work clever, high quality, and budget-friendly. In my case, it's affordable state-of-the-art. I was even able to include some special features (e.g. curbless shower) and individuality (a barn door) in my home package. I've been able to rack up enough solar credits last summer to get me through a cold winter with no electric bills except the meter.
