Well I was just ripped off. 725 to rebuild a carburetor on a 8 horsepower Mercury. The mortar was in very good shape other than the carburetor leaking. I carried it into their shop on the wrong side down. Had some oil mess to clean up.

My control box for throttle and gear selection was worn out. These units are not designed to be repaired. A new one would require cable replacement and extra labor, about $560!! Two technicians began looking for a used replacement. No luck. Then one more place to look. A used direct replacement was found on a high shelf in an unmarked box! After a little parts swapping, clean up work and lubrication it works like new. And at half the original estimate! :), :), :)

I love this store. The people working are always so friendly and helpful. I was in need of help finding some small items to put in a charity auction basket and the guy that helped me was awesome.
