Just receive an email requesting to verify an employee, I double checked with the employee to see if they were aware of this request to which they said no and that they had not asked for a verification of any kind and do not wish their information to be given. This is giving me red flag for scam alert. Is this legal? BEWARE! VeriFacts, LLC attempted to invade my privacy by requesting unauthorized verification of my employment information. I never gave permission for this company to access or verify my personal data. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and may violate privacy laws. I do not recommend VeriFacts due to their irresponsible and potentially illegal practices.
Called my wife’s old employer twice to ask about her employment. Obviously not smart enough to have the real employer. We have no debts, or anything whatsoever. Just a phishing scam, beware.
