I had lost my debit. Called and reported it lost. Went to the branch in ********* to get another one with no problems. Well here it is months later and Im having charges from OnStar being processed with the old debit card number. And to top it off I had cancelled OnStar months ago!! Called and spoke to ******** at VeraBank. She told me that OnStar is known to not cancel accounts when requested and that I needed proof that I canceled with OnStar. My father *** *used Vera bank and unfortunately he passed away January 5. It was brought to my attention that someone had been using his debit card after his death and obviously didn't have permission to do so at anytime before my dad died and certainly not after. I was told they couldn't help me until I had a death certificate. I reported a fraud issue and they had no interest in doing anything to help.
