Velocity is the best shop in town. Scott has been a friend, mentor and mechanic. Probably in that order. If you're looking for a cycling shop Velocity is the first choice in the state line area. Road, Triathlon, Gravel, MTB, if you ride it...they can fix it.
Scott made my day! I walked out to a flat bike tire on a beautiful day in Beloit, where there are no bike repair shops. It was looking pretty grim, until I saw a Facebook post that Scott sets up shop in town a couple Mondays a month. He was very easy to get ahold of and I was able to get my bike fixed right away. He was friendly, knowledgeable, quick, and eager to help and for a very fair price. Service like that seems to be rare nowadays. Scott will be getting all of our business from here on out!
It would be really hard to leave this place in a bad mood. Whether you just bought a new bike, or you picked up/dropped your bike off for service, or you just stopped in to chat with Scott - you're going to leave with a smile on your face. Quality work, honest pricing, local small business, hilarious owner - what more could you want?
Purchased my first MTB from here, previously only trail rode. Scott and Cindy were beyond helpful! Very knowledgeable.Highly recommend.
