This was a first time for us to use moving services. I knew instantly when I made the call to the Vantage moving company I would be satisfied with an efficient and robust service. Generally satisified with actual movers ... hard working, efficient, friendly ... during a recent move from Michigan to Oregon coast. But found out sometimes unfair "add on" costs made their quote worthless. Specifically, was told by sales person that a small truck would pick-up from a drive-through storage ... but a big truck showed up, had to park outside, and a "long carry charge" was added. Absolute worst moving company I have ever used. Somehow they are supposed to be ranked in the top three on line. Start off by saying they are not the moving company. They are only a broker! I was moving across the country. from Louisiana to California for a new job. The first thing that was suspicious that happened is they bid about $800 less than two other companies. I haven't the slightest idea of what this company is doing for these high ratings. 30 yr old antique couch appears to have had the wood sliced. The owner told me the wood was like that, it was not. Multiple boxes arrived with shattered, not just broken, but shattered contents. The computer desk and table needed repair upon delivery. I had ONE large framed t-shirt. The frame was broken to the point it literally fell apart. All for a bargain of $2000 for a 10 mile move
