I dont think you all understand the ways of how you get turned over to a collections agency.1. You go to a hospital and/or facility and get services rendered.2. The hospital bills your insurance, if you have any. 3. If you dont have insurance, the hospital will bill you at least 3 times. If no payment is made on your account, the HOSPITAL turns YOU over to collections.4. If your insurance pays, YOU should receive an EOB (explanation of benefits) from YOUR insurance. when I was first contacted by vanguard they were very rude, they would not even tell me what my account number was. They also lied to me and told me they could not send me a bill so that I would even know what to pay them until I talked to them for atleast four months.
Just got a collection letter from Vanguard Financial Services, WV. I checked with the client and they had no record of this debt. This debt goes back more than two years. The company had merged with another company which made tracking more difficult. False collection agencies know this. The lab service informed me they do not even use Vanguard as a collection agency. I actually called them to pay my account off. They took payment information and said i couldnt get a reciept for 30 days. It has been 2 weeks and they have yet to take the money from my account. I tried to call them and all i get is a recording asking me to leave my name and number. Very aggravating.
This company stinks!!!! I ahd a similar experience, in that they would not tell me an accoun t number ,or any information about an account they say I hadnt paid in 2 years???? BLOW ME!!!!
Upon a most recent check of my credit report I was unaware of the existence of Vanguard Financial -- that is until I noticed an open collection account being handled by them on an old medical bill in the amount of \$182.00 had been in collection since the later part of 2009. Harassing company calling my cell phone and wasting minutes trying to get a hold of a "Mark" then hangs up on me before even allowing a person to tell them they have the wrong number.VERY unprofessional, rude, minutes-thieving company!
The jerry a guy must work for a collection agency or hospital. I personally got one statement and paid the amount requested for \$25. The total due was \$68 and they were to bill again on a ppayment plan.They never billed again and i never heard from them from the 2005 bill, umtil may 2009 when i checked ny credit report and there is was VANGUARD FINANCIAL remark that \$43 was past due, but i was never billed bur the one time for the \$25.I called, got an answering machine...i drove to their office and they looked it up and ... read more
