So unhappy with business service. Had to go out of my community to set up with a business manager because my branch is "too small" to have one. They se5 up my account with the wrong name. You can't phone a branch anymore, i can't walk in because it's far away from my home. So now I have to wait for him to call. Not very "community". Feels very corporate
Only 1 ATM and parking is atrocious. Not a good bank for a quick transaction
I visited the Vancity Lonsdale Avenue Branch yesterday to cash a cheque but was informed that they could not process it because I am not a Vancity member or client. I presented valid identification and the cheque itself, which, as I understand, is an instruction from their client to pay a specified amount to the named payee. Unfortunately, Vancity does not honour cheques if the payee is not a member of their institution. This was a surprising and disappointing experience, and I found the visit quite frustrating. I am very proud to be a Vancity member based off the quality of service I received at this branch. Lauren was very helpful, made things easy to understand, and followed up with more information in a very timely manner. This recently opened space is a wonderful setting to do your banking as well, I would highly recommend!
