Extremely disappointed with the service I received from Vancity. I was instructed by Ali to visit a branch and provide my identification documents, which I did promptly. After waiting 10 days without any updates, I finally learned that my application had been approved for products, but nobody informed me that additional signatures were required to complete the process. Vancity has changed to digital banking making online banking tedious and difficult. They have done a massive disservice to all their members. Anybody can make something complicated. It takes real genius to make something simple. We're not witnessing any kind of brilliance here.
I highly recommend anyone thinking about opening an account with Vancity doesn’t. 1 star for the new app and customer service. I spent 30min on hold waiting for someone to answer the phone, which, to be fair is better than the hour plus I HAVE spent waiting on customer service. Not to mention the screaming children in the background of my call agents phone and putting me on hold multiple times probably to deal with said children. Just a quick shout out to Vindii, our favourite Member Services Representative at the South Surrey Vancity branch! She is just so gosh darn competent, experienced and has an uncanny ability to quickly zone in and problem solve any presenting issues, in addition to provide sound advice and information in so many areas and options 'all things Vancity'. On top of all of this, she is incredibly KIND, authentic & extremely caring. She bring genuine membership connection to a whole new level! Thank you for being so awesome Vindii!
