Today, I visited Vancity to withdraw $1,200 and was disappointed by the service. The teller, Beatrice, unprofessionally refused to assist me despite my Vancity bank card and valid BC driver’s licence—both acceptable forms of ID—insisting unnecessarily on additional ICBC documentation. Her dismissive behavior made me feel disrespected, and I was also uncomfortable due to poor hygiene, including dirty nails. I had to take my kid to a washroom while waiting in queue, yet they apologised saying they don’t have a washroom for him. So I had to go to Starbucks pretending I am customer there. Funny service! Really! Even for kids! I thought about letting my kid pee on the ground and leave it, they will wipe it.
The worst experience at this branch. She has no professional ethics or tact with the customer. I really think the assistant manager's way of expressing herself is terrible. She's very arrogant and gets upset if you don't have a fluent level of English.
I was having trouble setting up my online banking and Prabh was so patient and helpful. She didn’t rush me and made sure I understood how everything worked before I left. Truly appreciated the help.
