Van Dyke and Hand have been taking care of my 95 year old mother’s taxes since my father passed away. It was a very simple return as she only gets income from social security and some investments. They have a flat fee and then charge for time beyond that. In 2023, they charged me extra to complete her return. I called them repeatedly to get an explanation for the extra charge and although the office staff was always very helpful the accountant never bothered to call me back.
