Strong points and weak points. My husband and I bought an entire apartment full of furniture for our first place together after we got married in 2004. It seems that everything we bought that was wooden -- the dining set, coffee table, end tables, dressers, and headboard/footboard -- are all good quality and have held up well. Value City Furniture I have been to this store a few times. The store is in an excellent location. It is in the busiest part of Chesapeake. The store is a very good size and there is a good selection. Unfortunately, the times I went the sales person would not leave me alone. They just kept following me. Be sure you have your own tools, or pay for the delivery and set up! My wife and purchased a couch and love seat from Value City Furniture last month (March). At our final checkout and payment for the couch and love seat, our sales rep gave us the option to pickup the couch and love seat at the store at no charge, or for about $100 we could have the couch and love seat delivered. Great Value This store has very nice housing furniture and accessories to match. The decorative displaying are set up in such a way it makes you want to buy. The prices are great, very relaxed non-pressured atmosphere where you can browse around in peace.
great furniture at great prices We have been shopping here for quite sometime and Have never had any problems. They have a great selection and quality furniture. We shopped at great length before making our first purchase from them several years agao and now we dont buy furniture anywhere else.
Great furniture, but. . . I have purchased many items from this store. Great selections and reasonable prices. When I purchased my living room furniture there were no problems. When I purchased my bedroom it was a big headache. At the time of purchase, we were given an appointment for delivery (about 2 weeks out). Never Again! Purchased furniture on March 26, 2010, was to be delivered half on April 17, and other part on May 14. Called Value City to confirm deliver time because no one called me. I was told the funriture was never placed on order by the sale person. Needless to say after waiting for three weeks and no furniture I was not a very happy person, to say the less. I purchased a Sofa set from Value City Furniture store in Greenbrier Chesapeake, VA and paid $3,403.00, It was delivered 07/26/2021. At assembly the technician found that it is damaged and defective. Delivery person informed the store about damaged furniture and I also reported the issue to the store manager on the same date. I called the store many times but after getting no response, I went to the store in person and informed GM about the issue.
