If it’s called “National Nursing Week” but you’re not celebrating the people who make it a nursing home what’s the point? A nursing home is made up of the Nurses, CNAs, Dietary, Housekeeping, etc. If you didn’t have those people you wouldn’t even have nursing homes. Maybe next time you decide to celebrate, maybe celebrate the Nurses and CNAs that work for you not just the building they work in. How about that?!

Absolutely the worst place you can place a person for a "skilled" nursing facility. My father was sent here for a week after open heart surgery. There was no "skilled" nursing. There was no rehabilitation. They put him in a room and never came back. Someone brought his meals (if that's what you can call them), they did not adhere to the cardiac diet restrictions that was sent in the transfer paperwork from the cardiologist, my father had to call everytime his medications were due, they told him he could do whatever he wanted... read more

Valley Vista Sandpoint is a hellhole nightmare. The staff—including the medical director, head nurse, and administrators—is extremely dishonest, incompetent, rude, and unprofessional; they nearly killed my father-in-law from improper medication and cruel negligence (we moved him ASAP). The facility is chaotic, unhygienic, and abhorrent. Avoid placing your loved ones here even as a last resort. *See photo of my father-in-law one month after moving him out of this horrible facility.
